The NWP head office is located in Chorley, Lancashire and we have a satellite office in West Cumbria. We provide our engineering design services to customers across the UK and, via our parent organisation VINCI-Energies, throughout Europe.

Introduction
North West Projects Ltd (NWP) is an engineering design company established in 1987. Our core capability is the provision of Mechanical and CE&I Engineering Design Services and Project Management, primarily to the nuclear industry. We also provide management of multi-disciplined services through sub-contract supply of HVAC, CS&A and process engineering.
Our success within the nuclear industry has enabled us to grow from initially 13 employees to over 170 SQEP engineers and designers over the last 9 years. This has been achieved by striving to provide a high quality responsive service with integrity and value for money.
NWP is continuously increasing its capability and raising its profile by providing a quality service and delivering safe and cost effective design solutions. Most importantly NWP are used to working in close knit integrated project teams, with Safety at the heart of all our work.
Services
NWP currently employs over 170 engineers and designers with approximately 135 mechanical engineers and designers and almost 35 CE&I engineers and designers. All our staff are SQEP for their individual roles and our competency framework closely aligns with Sellafield Ltd requirements. All our engineers have the appropriate security clearances and over 40 are classified or monitored workers and 40 SC or above security cleared.
North West Projects offer:
High Calibre Engineers with Extensive Experience in the Nuclear Industry, from front end optioneering, concept design through to detail design and support through manufacture, testing, installation, commissioning, operations and decommissioning, production of stress analysis and supporting documentation, engineering substantiation, asset care and site surveys.

NWP is committed to on site safety through understanding and training in and understanding of our customer’s site procedures and safety requirements on site, and by being vigilant regarding the safety of ourselves and others during our undertaking of site survey work and site attendance.
Safety by Design
Safety continues to be our number one priority in design through ongoing safety case development, alignment of designs with existing safety cases, safety reviews and risk assessments during the concept, preliminary and detail design process. Throughout these activities, all radiological safety requirements and conventional safety issues associated with manufacture, works testing, handling, transportation, installation, commissioning, operation, maintenance and decommissioning are taken into account.
